1. You must apply for a sanction from USAG at least 30 days prior to your meet. An application for a foreign sanction that would include gymnasts from another country must be filed at least 120 days before the competition.
2. Request for judges form should be turned into Lynne Ostrem at least 30 days prior to the competition but the earlier you can turn it in, chances are better to get local judges. The assigning fee is $3.00 per contracted judge and must be included with the “Request for Judges” form. If possible, send a tentative schedule plus be in contact with her with your competitive numbers once you have received your entries. Include hotel information and directions to your gym.
3. Assigning of judges for a qualifier must be done by the State Judging Director (as per USA Rules and Policies page 63-I-A).
Invitational meet judges may be assigned by the meet director.
4. Send out your meet information a minimum of at least 2 weeks before you want your entries sent back.
5. When you finalize your meet schedule, please notify Lynne.
6. Meet directors may hold the draw for competition prior to the meet to include in final schedule information. This will save time at each session of the meet.
7. The judges room must have chairs and tables adequate for their judging materials. The room must also be equipped with a TV and DVD player. Water, pop, and snack type foods are always appreciated.
8. Please have judge’s payments ready for them following competition and before awards.
9. Placement awards must be given to at least 50% of all entries in level 6 and higher in each age division. Team placement awards shall also go to at least 50% of the teams entered in Level 4 and higher. Age divisions for qualifying meets may be determined by the meet director, but there may not be more than 20 gymnasts in an age division. Scratches at the meet will not effect the age divisions.
